If your daily life is busy, babe, welcome, my freezer dump bag hacks are going to help so much.
You see, I pop aside 1-2 hours on the weekend and meal prep enough dinners for the whole week for my family. I make these healthy freezer dump bags, which means I don't have to 'cook' the meals in that session (although you could do that too) and whack them all the freezer, ready for me to cook each day.
In this video, I show you exactly how I make my freezer dump bags, from laying everything out, how I label them, through to the best ways to store them.
Let me run you through exactly how to meal prep for your family to save money and the exact recipes I used...
Steps In My Freezer Dump Bag Session:
1. Shop your freezer - I checked the freezer for what I had. I had some pork belly so I popped that on to cook before I even went to the markets.
2. Planned -I wrote a list of exactly what I wanted to cook, in order for which would take the longest to shortest. That way, I could use the prep time well.
3. Shopped - I bought just what I needed, and that is big for a foodie like me. I love all the things! I spent $270, and that included some other items I needed for the pantry.
4. I found 1-2-hours to prep - I kicked the kids out, popped on some music and cooked.
5. Cleaned the kitchen & fridge - I'm not in the habit of doing that weekly, so it took me 5-mins.
6. Cooked - I started with the meals that took longer to prep, first. I made a couple of batches of my fermented kombucha gummies as they take an hour or so to set. Then I moved on to the meals I needed to 'cook' in full, through to the ones I just needed to prep. It helped it flow.
7. Cleaned - Everything went away, the dishwasher went on, it was ace.
8. Felt like a rockstar - Check out some photos below of how the meals were. I often share what we're eating, the sides, all the stuff on my Instagram, so be sure to follow along there too.

Healthy recipes I meal prepped for my family:
Dump Bag 1 - Chicken Stir-Fry: The recipe for this one is from my 20-minute meal plan course here. I divided the stir-fry into sauce, veggies and chicken so each element was yum and not a big sloppy mess. You could follow these tips with any of your stir-fry meals.
Dump Bag 2 - Honey Mustard Sausage Bake: I popped a whole heap of veg with chopped sausage and mustard and honey for this one. If it's a winner I'll write it up for my course that is coming soon on Summer Dump Bags.
Dump Bag 3 - Mexican Chicken Tray Bake: This is a winning recipe from my blog, grab the Mexican Chicken Tray Bake recipe here.
Dump Bag 4 - Sweet & Sour Pork Bake: The recipe for this one is from my 20-minute meal plan course here. I have added a little rice into the mix too, to make it a 'complete' meal so hubby doesn't need to cook that on the side.
Dump bag 5 - Chicken Schnitzels - This quick hack is genius! No egg or flour. The recipe for this one is from my 20-minute meal plan course here.
Strawberry & apple compote - I cooked this on 180 for 45-mins and it was perfect
Apple cake recipe - This was great! Grab the recipe here
Strawberry & cream gummies - These weren't ace, they need extra work. I'll be sure to include that recipe soon.
Strawberry fruit leather - I cooked on 60 for 4-hours and it was perfect.
